Design & Build Recruitment – Sydney Hills District NSWWe're working with a well established residential builder seeking a qualified Carpenter to join their team, with a clear pathway into a Site Supervisor role.
You'll gain exposure across different areas of the construction business, learning how projects are coordinated while being mentored by experienced industry professionals.This role will be office based, Monday – Friday, providing a strong foundation in construction coordination and administration before progressing onto site further down the line.The RoleYou'll be responsible for helping coordinate the day-to-day requirements of multiple residential construction projects, working closely with Site Supervisors, trades and the internal construction team.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Allocating and coordinating trades across residential projectsScheduling trades and managing upcoming construction requirementsCommunicating with subcontractors and suppliersMonitoring construction progress and upcoming stagesAssisting Site Supervisors with the coordination of tradesUpdating internal systems and construction schedulesFollowing up outstanding works and ensuring trades are booked at the right stageGeneral construction administration and coordinationLearning the processes involved in running residential projects from start to finishAbout YouWe're looking for someone with a genuine interest in progressing their career within residential construction.You'll ideally have:Cert III in CarpentryCert IV in Carpentry commencedPrevious experience working as a Carpenter within residential constructionA good understanding of residential construction stages and trade sequencingStrong communication and organisational skillsGood computer and administration skillsA willingness to learn the coordination and management side of constructionA genuine interest in progressing into Site SupervisionYou don't need to have previous office or coordination experience - the right trade background and attitude are more important.
This is an excellent chance for someone who is starting their career in construction after completing their apprenticeship.
