Cabinet Vision Draftsmen/ Nester- Designer JoineryDesigner Joinery is seeking a skilled qualified with extensive trade experience in the joinery and cabinetmaking industry to work on a subcontract basis.
You will manage the drafting and production detailing process, from preliminary shop drawings through to CNC-ready manufacturing files.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed preliminary joinery shop drawings from architectural plans, specifications and client requirementsRevise and update shop drawings based on client and builder feedback until final approvalConvert approved shop drawings into accurate, production-ready Cabinet Vision filesComplete CNC nesting, machining layouts and production programmingPrepare cutting lists, material schedules and manufacturing documentationEnsure all cabinetry components,
hardware and construction details are accurately documentedIdentify and resolve potential manufacturing issues before releasing files to productionLiaise with the team to ensure a smooth transition from initial drafting through to manufacturingAbout youExtensive experience using Cabinet Vision, including drafting, production detailing and CNC nestingThorough understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware and manufacturing processesAbility to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and site measurementsExperience producing both preliminary shop drawings and CNC-ready production filesExcellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work independentlyAbility to meet agreed project deadlines
