We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the team at Paddock Bakery, one of the Gold Coast’s busiest and most-loved cafés.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, takes pride in creating beautiful food and loves helping a team bring their best to the kitchen every day.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with our Head Chef, you’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly and support our team of chefs, bakers and pastry specialists.
You’ll also:
- Help lead and inspire the team, creating a positive and supportive kitchen environment.
- Oversee the preparation of our baked goods and pastries, maintaining the high standards our customers love.
- Manage ordering and stock levels to keep everything running efficiently.
- Share your ideas and creativity to help our menu continue to evolve.
What we’re looking for
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role, with strong skills in baked goods and pastries.
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Experience leading and supporting a diverse kitchen team.
- Strong ordering, stock control and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude, a passion for food and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.
