We’re looking for a safety-focused Plant Operator to join our Katherine team.

You don’t need years of experience or to have operated every piece of plant. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors and keen to build a career in civil construction.

You’ll get hands-on training while working alongside an experienced team across a range of civil and stabilisation projects throughout the Northern Territory.

If you’ve worked around machinery, construction, agriculture, mining or another hands-on environment, that’s great, but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important to us.

What we're looking for

- A good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

- Someone reliable who turns up,



gets involved and works well as part of a team.

- An interest in machinery, plant and civil construction.

- The flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.

- Confidence using basic technology and completing digital records.

- A current HR driver's licence.

- Previous experience around plant, machinery, civil construction, agriculture or mining is helpful, but not essential.

Appointment is subject to successfully completing a pre-employment medical and fitness assessment. You'll also need to comply with Hiway's drug and alcohol policy, including ongoing testing during employment.
