General Manager, Technology Innovation

Lead the renewal of Incolink's technology, and use AI and automation to make life easier for the workers and employers we serve.

The opportunity. This is a new role with a genuine mandate. You will set the direction for Incolink's technology, refine and implement the roadmap, choose the partners and lead a small specialist team. The organisation is big enough for the work to matter and lean enough that you will see the results of your decisions.

What the role is really about. You modernise how Incolink runs. In your first 90 days you will work with the team to understand and assess our core systems, agree on the priority pain points and develop work plans. By six months you have an endorsed three year roadmap, AI guardrails in place and the first system upgrades and automation wins live. By 12 months the first major modernisation is underway, cutting manual work for our 80 staff and making entitlements and claims easier to access for members.

Who this role suits. A technology or digital product leader with at least 10 years' experience who has modernised legacy systems and delivered AI or automation with measurable results. You may lead a function in superannuation, insurance, financial services or a not-for-profit, or be a senior product or delivery leader ready for a General Manager role. You enjoy hands-on leadership and want your work to make a real difference.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Strategy, People & Transformation Officer, you set and deliver Incolink's technology and digital product roadmap. You modernise legacy systems and apply AI and automation to improve member outcomes and organisational efficiency. You lead the IT Solutions, Product Development and IT Operations teams,

manage vendors and delivery partners, and advise the Executive.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and deliver a three year technology and digital roadmap, with clear business cases for investment.

- Assess core systems and lead a staged modernisation, including data migration and integration.

- Establish product management practices that put members, employers and staff at the centre of design.

- Identify, pilot and scale AI and automation, with guardrails for privacy, security and ethical use.

- Select and manage vendors and delivery partners, and deliver programs on time and on budget.

- Lead and develop a specialist team, and guide business leaders through process redesign and change.

About you

- At least 10 years in technology, digital or product roles, including 5 or more years leading a function.

- A proven record modernising legacy systems in a mid-sized organisation, including data migration and integration.

- Demonstrated delivery of AI, automation or intelligent process solutions with measurable business benefits.

- Strong vendor selection, contract and commercial management experience.

- Confidence advising Executive teams and Boards in plain language.

- A tertiary qualification in IT, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent senior experience. Experience in a member-based, superannuation,

insurance or not-for-profit setting is highly regarded.
