We are seeking an experienced, passionate and commercially driven Head Chef to lead the kitchen at The Whitehorse.

With our newly renovated bistro area, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen, drive the food offering and create an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

We are looking for someone who understands modern pub dining, loves delivering quality pub classics and has the leadership skills to build and develop a high-performing kitchen team.

Our ideal candidate will:

- Have proven experience as a Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.

- Be a hands-on leader who leads from the front during busy service periods.

- Have a passion for quality pub classics, schnitzels, steaks, burgers and modern bistro dining.

- Have experience managing a busy pub, hotel or high-volume bistro kitchen.

- Be confident developing menus, specials and seasonal food offerings.

- Manage food costs, GP targets, stock control, ordering and kitchen budgets.





- Recruit, train, develop and motivate a strong kitchen brigade.

- Manage kitchen rostering, labour costs and productivity.

- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.

- Demonstrate accountability, organisation and a strong commercial mindset.
