CDC NSW has 11 workshops across greater Sydney and the Hunter region. Our workshops are large, modern and well equipped with all up to date tools and equipment our teams need. About the role:

We are looking for Heavy Vehicle - Diesel Mechanic on a full-time bases at our Terrey Hills depot

This position is primarily a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic role, responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs to ensure the safety, reliability and performance of our fleet. In addition to the core mechanical responsibilities, the successful candidate will be capable of providing temporary Workshop Supervisor relief during periods of planned and unplanned leave.

When undertaking relief supervisory duties, you will support the day-to-day operation of the workshop, assist with coordinating maintenance activities, and provide leadership to workshop teams.



Flexibility to work across CDC workshop locations throughout the Sydney metropolitan region is essential

Our Diesel Mechanics:

- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the diesel engines for our buses.
- Diagnose engine faults,·
- Perform regular servicing such as oil changes and filter replacements,
- Conduct complex repairs on components like fuel systems, turbochargers, and exhaust systems
- Attend to breakdowns, accidents and incidents.

About you:

- You will be ready to learn and grow your skills and help develop the next generation of industry specialists.
- Technical skills such as Motor Vehicle Repair Licence required.
- Experience in the Heavy Vehicle Inspection
- A MR or HR driver's licence or willingness to obtain.
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
