Maroondah City Council is preparing to open a once in a generation facility as part of the ongoing development of Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct, and is seeking an energetic and collaborative leader and facility manager to bring the community’s vision to life.

This rare and exciting opportunity will establish and manage the successful operations of a brand current $43m community facility within a wider precinct designed to build community wellbeing, alongside the effective management of an adjoining community hub and integration with other hubs and spaces within the precinct.

The new hub, due to open in the second half of 2027 includes the new Croydon Library, Black Box Theatre, Coworking Community Support Hub, Meeting Rooms and Café, and will become a best practice community destination that brings the community together.

Working within the Community Wellbeing Team, and working across multiple Council service areas, the role will lead the readiness and launch of the precinct by:

- Establishing operational systems,



governance and partnerships
- Coordinating staff, tenants and partner readiness
- Designing a program of activation

Once open the role will:

- Lead the day-to-day operation and activation of the hub and wider precinct.
- Build strong partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Drive utilisation, community participation and customer experience.
- Deliver sustainable financial and community outcomes through effective leadership and innovation.
