Fresh Freight Tasmania is an industry leader and operates a comprehensive door-to-door freight forwarding service between Tasmania and Mainland Australia specialising in the movement of refrigerated and ambient products.
Your Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to launch their career in transport and logistics and become an integral part of the team as a Warehouse / Storeman at our Legana site.
The role is a full-time position, with some overtime available.
Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders in the freezer and chiller (large portion of the job) with high accuracy.
- Load / unload semi-trailers and rigids with a forklifts
- Stock checking inbound and out bound freight to the manifest.
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.
Skills and Experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent work ethic including being reliable, committed to working and punctual.
- Forklift licence is essential and previous experience in a warehouse would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the refrigeration or general transport industry would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent attitude to safety.
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work in a team, within a fast-paced environment.
