Dural Family Medical Practice is seeking a VR General Practitioner to join its established, independent practice in Sydney’s Hills / Hornsby Shire region.

Operating for more than 35 years, the practice provides comprehensive, patient centred general practice with a strong focus on preventative health, continuity of care and evidence-based medicine.

This opportunity would suit a GP looking for a supportive, non corporate setting with predictable hours, strong clinical and administrative support, and scope to develop their own clinical interests.

About the role

- Full-time preferred, with part-time arrangements considered

- Independent contractor / associate doctor

- Mixed-billing practice

- Estimated gross billings of $350–$500 per hour, dependent on experience, patient base and use of practice-supported resources

- Weekday operating hours of 8am–5pm, with flexibility around start and finish times

- Final standard appointment at 4:30pm on closing days

- 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, 8:30am–12pm

A fee structure that supports longer consultations

The practice’s private fee schedule is designed to support GPs who choose to spend more time with patients. One private 45-minute consultation can provide the same doctor income as three separate 15-minute consultations, supporting comprehensive clinical care without financially disadvantaging the GP for taking longer with a patient.

Clinical and practice support

You’ll have access to:

- Nursing support five days a week for immunisations, dressings, ECGs and iron infusions

- On-site pathology five days a week

- In-house physiotherapy, exercise physiology, chiropractic care and dietetics

- Fortnightly visiting cardiologist

- Fully equipped treatment room for minor procedures, including skin biopsies and excisions

- Support with MyMedicare registrations,



MBS billing queries and rejections, WorkCover invoicing and CDM patient bookings

- Daily Cubiko reporting to support care planning, health assessments, reviews and patient recalls

Develop your clinical interests

GPs are supported to develop areas of special clinical interest, with existing doctors providing services including ADHD assessments, menopause consultations and longevity medicine.

Dedicated longer, fully private-billed consultations can support these areas of practice.

The practice can also assist GPs to develop their individual professional profile through Google Business Profile optimisation and GP-authored digital content.

About you

To be considered, you will need:

- Vocational Registration (VR)

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

- A commitment to comprehensive, evidence-based and patient-centred general practice

- An interest in building and maintaining your own patient base

- A proactive approach to preventative health, chronic disease management and continuity of care
