RPR Trades is a trades labour hire business placing skilled tradespeople across Queensland, Current South Wales and Victoria. We are a close-knit team that takes pride in looking after our workers, our clients and each other. We are also on the front foot with technology and AI, always looking for smarter ways to work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a varied, hands-on role at the centre of our business. You will lead HR and safety, build the capability of our team through training and great systems, contribute to revenue through recruitment, and help tell the RPR Trades story through great content. No two days are the same.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Champion safety on site, our number one priority: conduct site safety assessments, deliver regular toolbox talks and ensure every worker holds the right licences and tickets for the job.

- Manage our safety management system, including incident reporting, safety audits and WorkCover claims across three states, working with our external safety consultant, insurers, host employers and internal Finance Team.

- Look after internal HR, including onboarding, probation and performance reviews, recognition programs and providing HR support to the team.

- Design and maintain training and induction programs, and coordinate training on new systems and processes.

- Be the go-to super-user for our front office platforms, including JobAdder, and manage internal helpdesk requests.





- Publish our weekly Operations Dashboard and monthly safety metrics with our reporting partner.

- Keep your recruitment skills sharp with periodic placements that contribute to revenue.

- Create and publish engaging social media content, newsletters, job ad branding and branded documents using Canva.

ABOUT YOU

- A proven recruitment consultant, ideally in trades or blue-collar recruitment, who still loves making placements.

- Experience managing workplace safety and WorkCover claims, ideally in labour hire, construction or trades.

- HR experience across recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management and offboarding.

- A natural leader and confident communicator who can engage, support and influence people at every level.

- Creative, with experience creating social media content (photos, short-form videos and copy) and designing in Canva.

- Highly organised and efficient, with superior administration skills and a knack for finding simpler ways to get things done.

- Tech-savvy and proficient in AI, with hands-on experience using tools like Claude to work smarter.

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally to our branches.

- WHS qualifications (Cert IV or higher) are highly regarded.
