SLR Trans is looking for experienced MC drivers to support our growing interstate transport operations.
We are seeking dependable, safety-conscious drivers who understand the demands of long-distance transport and can take responsibility for delivering freight safely and on schedule.
This opportunity is suited to professional drivers who enjoy interstate travel and are looking for driving opportunities with an established transport operation.
The Work
As part of our interstate driving team, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating MC heavy vehicles on interstate freight routes.
- Completing long-distance trips in accordance with allocated schedules.
- Ensuring freight is transported and delivered safely.
- Managing driving hours, rest breaks and fatigue requirements.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical issues.
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and other required documentation.
- Keeping the operations team informed of progress, delays and unexpected issues.
- Following company safety procedures and transport compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in drivers who can demonstrate:
- A current and unrestricted MC driver's licence.
- Previous interstate driving experience.
- Experience operating B-Double combinations.
- Current BFM accreditation.
- A valuable driving history.
- Strong knowledge of fatigue management and heavy vehicle road regulations.
- The ability to work independently and manage long-distance trips.
- Good communication and a professional approach to work.
- Flexibility to accept casual shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
