Residential House Painter (Aintree / Rockbank base)

Kogan People Solutions (recruiters) are working with a well-regarded painting business, based in Aintree Vic, who are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential House Painter to join their team on a full-time ongoing basis. Their team is dedicated to transforming homes with precision, care, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, and ensuring a flawless finish on all projects. You will work on a variety of residential properties, providing top-notch painting services to their valued clients. The work is across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

Location - Based in Aintree Vic (Rockbank area)

Salary - offered in the range $80k to $85k plus superannuation per annum

Employment is full time and ongoing (so not suitable for sub contractors)

Duties will include:

- Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface prep, as well as mixing and matching.
- Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.
- Washing, scraping,



sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
- Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings.
- Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights.
- Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.

To successfully apply, you:

- Possess a relevant Cert IV or agreed alternative
- Have a minimum of 1 year’s working experience in the field (preferably more)
- Excellent team skills, patience, and empathy.
- Are prompt and reliable, with excellent time management skills.
- Are eager to secure a full time salaried position (so this role is not available for sub-contractors)
