We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Track Supervisor to join our team.

This role is an ongoing role as an embedded contractor for a top tier miner & to start as soon as reasonably possible. The role is based in Port Hedland on an 11/10 roster.

Within the Rail Renewals and Projects department the Track Renewals team is responsible for executing large-scale capital and operation expenditure track works including re rail, track renewal/reconstruction, turnout and crossover renewal, rail stress management and rail civil works.

Lead and coordinate Contractors and embedded Rail Execution Teams in the safe execution of rail infrastructure works, driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with standards, Critical Risk Controls, and project delivery requirements.

Own the construction interface between Earthworks and Signalling, ensuring formations are accepted as fit for purpose, track construction activities are delivered to specification, and completed sections are handed over ready for signalling integration, testing, and commissioning. Provide assurance across shutdowns, RTS drops, and obstruction management activities while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and construction readiness across assigned work fronts

Essential

- Demonstrated experience leading and supervising track construction activities within an operational heavy-haul rail environment, maintaining safe and efficient delivery while managing live rail interfaces and operational constraints.
- Sound knowledge and practical application of rail safeworking systems, possession management processes, isolation requirements, and rail corridor access controls within a brownfield construction setting.
- Proven ability to interpret, implement, and assure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), construction specifications, quality requirements, and project assurance processes.




- Demonstrated capability to lead multidisciplinary work teams and Contractor partners during shutdowns, possessions, and critical execution windows, maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, quality, and schedule performance under time-critical conditions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and digital reporting platforms for planning, reporting, records management, and performance tracking.
- Strong understanding of construction interface management, risk management, and the application of Critical Risk Controls within a major project or operational rail environment.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across Operations, Engineering, Project Delivery, Contractors, and supporting functions to achieve safe and successful outcomes

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated experience in turnout installation, assembly, and commissioning activities, including in-situ turnout construction within heavy-haul rail environments, with a strong understanding of quality, alignment, and interface requirements.
- Experience delivering level crossing construction and upgrade works within operational rail corridors, including the management of multidisciplinary interfaces, traffic management controls, and operational readiness requirements.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Work Management systems, including the creation, tracking, and close-out of work orders, maintenance notifications, permits, resource planning, and asset-related documentation.
- Exposure to rail infrastructure commissioning, handover, and operational acceptance processes,



supporting the transition of completed assets into service.
- Developed understanding of project controls, construction readiness, and assurance processes, including the management of construction records, quality documentation, and turnover packages.
- Experience working Tier 1 resources environments, demonstrating an understanding of governance requirements, Critical Risk Management, and Contractor Performance Management frameworks.

Qualifications:

- Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license.
- TLIW2032 - Identify the principles of tamping machine operations
- Certificate III in rail Infrastructure and additional electives.
