Mental Health Nurses | Darwin and Alice Springs NT | 5 to 12 Week Contracts

We’re recruiting experienced mental health nurses for a range of contracts with public mental health services in Darwin and Alice Springs. These roles suit nurses who are confident working autonomously and want to experience nursing in the Northern Territory.

We offer generous joining and referral bonuses, and cover all accommodation and travel expenses to and from the contract.

Clozapine Clinic RN | Darwin/Palmerston

Level: Experienced Registered Nurse (RN Level 2, pay point 6)

Start: 26 November 2026

Duration: 6 weeks

Pay: Up to $82 per hour plus super

Working in the adult community mental health team’s Clozapine Clinic, you’ll monitor clients on clozapine therapy and work closely with the treating team. You’ll need solid mental health experience and sound knowledge of medication side effects.

Access Team Mental Health Nurse | Darwin

Level: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Contract 1: ASAP or 16 November 2026, 12 weeks

Contract 2: 3 December 2026, 6 weeks

Pay: Up to $100 per hour plus super

You’ll provide acute mental health assessments, triage, interventions and case management using a recovery-based framework, developing and reviewing care plans with clients, carers and the clinical team. Solid triage and acute assessment skills are essential,



and the 6-week contract requires at least 4 years of combined inpatient and outpatient mental health experience.

Clinical Nurse Specialist, Community Mental Health | Alice Springs

Level: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Contracts:

1. ASAP for 12 weeks
2. 11 December 2026 to 28 February 2027
3. 1 February 2027 to 7 March 2027

Pay: Up to $100 per hour plus super

You’ll take on a case management role within a multidisciplinary team, providing therapeutic interventions and education to clients and families, and supporting less experienced staff. You’ll need at least 2 to 3 years of community mental health experience and a good understanding of cultural safety. A Graduate Certificate in Mental Health is desirable.

- CV with 2 recent references from line manager
- AHPRA certificate
- Certified statements of service
- NT Working with Children Clearance (we’ll help with the application if you don’t have one)
- Police check dated within 6 months of the start date
- Certified VPD immunisation certificate
- CPD training certificates
