Senior Flooding & Hydrology Engineer / Hydrologist Major Infrastructure Projects | Technical Leadership | NSW
Up to $250,000 TRP, depending on experience

An excellent opportunity is available for an accomplished Senior Flooding and Hydrology Engineer/Hydrologist to join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy working across major metropolitan and regional infrastructure projects.

This is a senior technical position offering the chance to lead complex flood and hydrology packages, mentor developing engineers and progress towards an Associate or Technical Lead role.

The Role You will:

- Lead flooding and hydrology projects and technical work packages
- Deliver and review complex hydrologic and hydraulic modelling
- Undertake flood studies, flood-risk assessments, mapping and surface-water management assessments
- Develop practical flood-mitigation and sustainable design solutions
- Manage project scope, budgets, deadlines and technical quality
- Prepare technical reports, fee proposals and tender submissions
- Work closely with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical outputs

About You You will ideally offer:

- Qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- At least eight years’ relevant experience, with 10+ years preferred




- Strong Australian consulting experience, ideally including projects in NSW
- Demonstrated experience delivering major infrastructure projects
- Advanced TUFLOW capability, which is essential
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools such as RORB and HEC-RAS
- Sound knowledge of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and relevant flood-policy and approval frameworks
- The ability to lead technical packages and communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders
- Previous mentoring or team-management exposure
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver quality work to demanding deadlines

Chartered status and experience with 12d or DRAINS would be advantageous.
