About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Precast Concrete Labourer for a local Griffith company that has specialised in precast concrete products for over 70 years.
- Locations: Griffith, NSW 2680
- Job Type: Casual (Labour Hire)
- Commencement Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime
Position Overview:
This is an ongoing role with opportunities for permanent employment with the host employer for the right candidate. The work environment is hands-on and can be fast-paced due to regular deadlines.
The role involves manufacturing a broad range of precast concrete products for industries including rail, transport, civil construction, mining, and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Assembling and disassembling moulds
- Cleaning and oiling moulds
- Placing reinforcement and steel bars within moulds
- Pouring and setting concrete
- Operating overhead cranes to move moulds and finished products
- Using hand and power tools
- Concrete patching and finishing
- Assisting section leaders with daily tasks
- Operating batching plant machinery
- Performing general labour duties
Requirements:
- Drivers licence and Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Own safety boots, high-vis shirt and drill pants
- Previous experience in construction, trades, or manufacturing
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Valuable physical fitness for manual labour
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
