Wingman Recruitment partners with Australian businesses to connect them with skilled recruitment professionals who understand the Australian employment market. We support businesses across a range of industries by delivering tailored recruitment solutions and building strong candidate pipelines.

We're looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant – Australian Market to join our team and support recruitment delivery for an established Australian recruitment agency.

About the Role

This is an agency recruitment role for someone who understands the recruitment lifecycle and is confident sourcing, engaging and qualifying candidates across the Australian market.

You will focus on Healthcare, Finance, HR and Business Support recruitment, working closely with an onshore Recruitment Consultant to manage active vacancies, build talent pipelines and coordinate candidate interviews.

This is not a virtual assistant or purely administrative position. We're looking for someone with hands-on agency recruitment experience who can take ownership of candidate sourcing and delivery.

As the role develops, there will also be opportunities to become involved in business development support, lead generation and client outreach.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct initial candidate interviews and assess suitability against role requirements.
- Shortlist and present qualified candidates to the onshore recruitment team.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with active and passive candidates.

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

- Develop and maintain talent pools across Healthcare, Finance, HR and Business Support.
- Identify suitable candidates for current and upcoming vacancies.
- Use Boolean search, database searches and other sourcing techniques to identify talent.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in the ATS/CRM.
- Proactively identify potential candidates for hard-to-fill and specialist roles.

Recruitment Coordination & Delivery

- Work closely with onshore consultants to understand vacancy requirements and hiring priorities.
- Support live vacancies by providing qualified candidate shortlists.
- Coordinate candidate interviews and manage availability.
- Follow up with candidates and ensure timely feedback throughout the process.
- Help keep recruitment activity organised and vacancies progressing efficiently.

Business Development Support

- Assist with identifying potential clients and business opportunities.
- Conduct market mapping and research to identify prospective organisations.
- Support lead generation and client outreach activities as the role expands.
- Contribute to building recent recruitment opportunities and growing the agency's market presence.

Industry Sectors

You will support recruitment across the following sectors:

- Healthcare & Allied Health – Healthcare professionals, allied health practitioners and specialist healthcare roles.
- Finance & Accounting – Accountants, finance professionals and accounting support roles.
- Human Resources – HR professionals, advisors, business partners and management roles.
- Business Support & Administration – Administration, office support, executive support and corporate services roles.

You may also gain exposure to additional sectors, including:

- Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Retail and Luxury Retail
- Sales and Marketing
- Operations and other professional roles

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in agency recruitment, preferably supporting Australian clients or vacancies.
- Strong experience in candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and shortlisting.
- Exposure to Healthcare, Allied Health, Finance, HR or Business Support recruitment.
- Confidence conducting outbound calls and engaging candidates.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing recruitment priorities.
- Strong candidate relationship management and follow-up skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment CRMs and sourcing platforms.
- A proactive approach to recruitment delivery, with the ability to work independently.

Highly Preferred

- Previous experience recruiting for the Australian market.
- Healthcare or Allied Health recruitment experience.
- Recruitment experience across Finance, HR or Business Support.
- Experience using SEEK, Bullhorn or similar recruitment platforms.
- Experience with both permanent and temporary recruitment.
- Strong Boolean search, headhunting and talent mapping capabilities.
- Exposure to business development, lead generation or client outreach.

- Adaptable, accountable and motivated by recruitment outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

- Consistently delivering qualified candidate shortlists across assigned sectors.
