Change Education Recruitment is working with a highly regarded independent school in Sydney’s Inner West to appoint a Diverse Learning Teacher for a permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

The Opportunity
You will work closely with classroom teachers, faculty leaders, students and families to develop and implement effective learning adjustments and support strategies. You will help create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported, valued and empowered to succeed.
Please outline your diverse learning experience, preferred year levels and areas of expertise in your application. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide targeted learning support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop, implement and monitor Individual Learning Plans and personalised learning adjustments
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum, teaching strategies and assessment
- Identify individual student needs and implement evidence-based interventions and support strategies
- Support students with additional learning needs, including those with diagnosed learning difficulties and disabilities
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students, teachers and families
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure a consistent approach to student support




- Contribute to the development of inclusive teaching practices and whole-school learning support initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and student learning records
- Participate in faculty planning, professional learning and the wider school community

About You
You will bring:

- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in Diverse Learning, Learning Support or Inclusive Education
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and differentiated teaching strategies
- Experience supporting secondary students with a range of learning needs
- Knowledge of Individual Learning Plans, reasonable adjustments and evidence-based interventions
- The ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other education professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and families
- A versatile, proactive and student-centred approach
- Confidence using technology and learning support resources to enhance student outcomes
- A genuine commitment to ensuring all students have access to meaningful learning opportunities
- Current NESA accreditation, or eligibility to obtain it
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check

Experience working within an independent school environment and supporting students with complex learning needs would be highly regarded.
