- Take ownership of Raiser’s Edge, data reporting and operational improvements
- Newly created role with the opportunity to shape and improve fundraising systems and processes
- Sydney based preferred (Melbourne and Brisbane will also be considered)
- Part-time opportunity, working 3 or 4 days per week, with flexibility around working days
Impact of the organisation
Impact Advising is delighted to be partnering with a well-established national charity that supports Australian families through some of life's most challenging circumstances.
As the fundraising team continues to grow, an exciting chance has been created for an experienced Fundraising and Data Specialist to take ownership of its fundraising database, improve reporting capabilities and drive greater efficiencies across the team.
Impact of the role
This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to make a real impact on how fundraising data, systems and processes are managed across the organisation.
With Raiser’s Edge implemented recently, there is an exciting opportunity to build on the existing foundations, strengthen reporting capabilities and introduce more efficient processes to support the growing fundraising team.
Working closely with Fundraising and the broader team, you will be the internal Raiser’s Edge expert, taking ownership of the database and identifying opportunities to improve how data is captured, analysed and used to inform fundraising decisions.
This role will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, can work autonomously and is motivated by the opportunity to drive improvements rather than simply maintain existing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of Raiser’s Edge, ensuring effective database management, data integrity and ongoing optimisation.
- Develop and improve fundraising dashboards, reporting and data analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve fundraising processes,
streamline workflows and strengthen operational efficiencies.
- Manage data imports, exports, segmentation and complex queries to support fundraising campaigns and appeals.
- Lead systems improvement projects, including opportunities to automate supporter communications and integrate fundraising and email platforms.
- Provide training, guidance and ongoing support to fundraising team members to build confidence and capability in using Raiser’s Edge.
- Oversee gift processing, data governance and reconciliation processes, working collaboratively with the Finance team.
- Proactively analyse fundraising performance, identify trends and provide recommendations to improve supporter engagement and fundraising outcomes.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for an experienced fundraising database professional who is confident working with Raiser’s Edge and enjoys finding practical solutions to improve systems and processes.
You will be someone who can see the bigger picture, anticipate what information the fundraising team needs and take initiative to implement improvements.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimising Raiser’s Edge ideally within a fundraising environment.
- Strong technical skills across data management, reporting, segmentation, imports, exports and complex queries.
- Experience developing dashboards and translating fundraising data into meaningful insights.
- An understanding of fundraising operations, supporter journeys and data management best practices.
- Experience improving processes, implementing new workflows or supporting systems integration projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and upskill colleagues with varying levels of technical experience.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership of your work, with the confidence to identify what needs improving and make it happen.
- Experience with platforms such as Funraisin, Campaign Monitor or WordPress would be advantageous, as would previous experience working within a not-for-profit organisation
