We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand to lead our CAM Attachments manufacturing workshop in Brisbane.

This role is ideal for an experienced boilermaker who is ready to step into a leadership position while still remaining actively involved in the work. You will supervise a small team while also performing fabrication and welding tasks, ensuring our bespoke attachment products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include

You will oversee workshop operations within the CAM Attachments division, producing custom-designed forks, attachments, and fabricated steel solutions for our customers.

Our focus is simple — the customer is at the centre of everything we do.

This is a working supervisor role, combining leadership with practical fabrication / boiler making work. You will help set the standard for craftsmanship, safety, and operational excellence.

- Lead and support a team of fabricators, welders, and trade assistants

- Perform fabrication and welding work alongside your team

- Manage daily workshop workflow and job allocation

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

- Ensure all products meet quality, design, and customer requirements

- Maintain strong workplace health and safety standards

- Support continuous improvement across workshop processes

- Mentor and develop apprentices, supporting long-term trade capability

- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and customer-focused workshop culture

About you – Skills, experience and qualifications

- Trade qualified in fabrication, boilermaking, or a related metal trade

- Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication or manufacturing workshops





- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Comfortable reading technical drawings and production instructions

- Natural leader who can guide a team while remaining hands-on

- Safety-focused mindset with a proactive approach to risk management

- Open to developing apprentices and supporting future trade talent

- Ready to move into or grow within a supervisory leadership role
