Senior Project Manager – Digital Health & Business Transformation

The Role
Join a leading South Australian Government body at the forefront of digital healthcare evolution. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Business Transformation team in Adelaide CBD to lead and deliver critical clinical and technology transformation projects.

In this pivotal role, you will manage end-to-end project delivery across complex digital health initiatives, directly contributing to safer, more efficient, and fully integrated clinical systems and services across South Australia's healthcare network.

- Executive Engagement: Drive high-level stakeholder engagement across internal business units, clinicians, executive program boards, and external vendors.
- Governance & Delivery: Lead end-to-end planning, scheduling, risk/issue management, and continuous tracking of project lifecycles.
- Project Assurance: Prepare monthly status reports, Steering Committee papers, and manage external project assurance and quality control.
- Deployment & Support: Execute robust deployment strategies, business process/requirements analysis, and post-implementation support model planning.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee vendor engagement, procurement processes, purchase orders, and ongoing contract administration.





Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring at least 5 to 10 years of proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex ICT projects.

Essential:

- Healthcare Systems Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT projects within a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to report to Executive Program Boards and negotiate outcomes across diverse teams.
- Project Governance: Deep experience managing project critical paths, interdependencies, and risk/issue frameworks.
- Procurement & Vendor Control: Hands-on experience with ICT procurement processes and managing external vendors/service providers.
- Technical & Methodological Tools: Proficiency in MS Project Qualified and MS Project Server. Solid working knowledge of ICT Strategy & Standards frameworks.

Desirable:

- Formal certifications in project management such as PRINCE2 (Foundation or higher), PMBOK, PMI, or AIPM.
- Familiarity with government/health change management practices, Program Office guidelines, and governance frameworks.
