You won't be building every solution yourself. You'll be accountable for bringing the technology, teams and partners together to deliver.
Our client is a large, established not-for-profit organisation supporting people and communities experiencing disadvantage, vulnerability and hardship.
It's undertaking one of its most significant technology transformations in recent years, implementing Dayforce to modernise its people, payroll and workforce management capabilities.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Delivery Lead to take ownership of technical delivery, working across internal technology teams, specialist partners and business stakeholders.
The Opportunity
You'll join following discovery and design, as the program moves towards build, testing and deployment.
With approximately 30 integrations spanning operational platforms, finance and identity management, you'll oversee delivery across a Microsoft Azure integration environment, working closely with specialist partners.
Working closely with the Project Manager and General Manager of IT, you'll coordinate the technical workstreams across the program, from environment readiness and integration through to testing, deployment and operational transition.
A critical part of your success will be earning the trust of established IT teams, bringing clarity to competing priorities and helping build the capability needed to support the new environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead technical delivery across integrations, applications, environments, security and identity management.
- Review technical designs, specifications and estimates, holding implementation partners accountable for agreed outcomes.
- Align internal IT resources and external partners around delivery milestones, dependencies and competing priorities.
- Oversee environment readiness, integration testing, defect resolution and deployment activities.
- Coordinate technical aspects of data migration alongside the dedicated migration lead.
- Manage technical risks, resolve dependencies and escalate decisions through appropriate governance channels.
- Provide guidance to internal technology teams, sharing expertise and strengthening delivery practices.
- Establish documentation, knowledge transfer and support arrangements for transition into business-as-usual operations.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an experienced technical leader who combines strong integration expertise with the judgement and interpersonal skills required to deliver a complex enterprise implementation.
You'll ideally bring:
- At least five years' experience leading technical delivery within complex enterprise implementations or transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of integration architecture, APIs, interfaces and enterprise application environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure integration technologies, or comparable platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi.
- A proven ability to assess technical designs, manage implementation partners and deliver outcomes through others.
- Broad understanding of infrastructure, security, identity and access management, testing and operational readiness.
- The interpersonal skills to earn trust within established technology teams, influence without formal authority and engage confidently with business stakeholders.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the ability to navigate competing priorities.
Experience delivering Dayforce or other Human Capital Management (HCM) implementations would be advantageous, but isn't essential. Familiarity with ITIL and service transition practices would also be valuable.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Shape a major transformation: Take ownership of technical delivery at a pivotal stage of a significant enterprise implementation.
- Work with senior decision-makers: Partner directly with the General Manager of IT and program leadership, with the autonomy to recommend practical technical solutions.
- Leave a lasting legacy: Build capabilities and support practices that remain long after implementation.
- Work with purpose: Apply your expertise within an organisation delivering essential services to vulnerable people and communities.
Remuneration & Working Arrangements
- Remuneration: $200,000 - $220,000 + superannuation
- Advantages: Access to eligible not-for-profit salary packaging benefits (c. $8,000 - $10,000 p/a).
- Employment: Initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension depending on program requirements.
- Location: Sydney, with time between the CBD and Carlingford offices according to project requirements.
- Hybrid working: Flexible arrangements, generally aligned to five office days per fortnight, with additional onsite attendance expected during key delivery stages.
