Employment: Temporary – 3-day festival

We are looking for a reliable, experienced cook and friendly food servers to join our team at the African Music Festival in Melbourne.

Positions Available

1. Cook / Kitchen Assistant

- Experience preparing and serving meals in a busy kitchen or food stall
- Assist with African dishes including jollof rice, grilled or fried chicken, fried plantain, fish and traditional soups
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness and efficient food preparation
- Work confidently during busy festival periods

2. Food Server / Customer Service Assistant

- Take customer orders and handle payments
- Serve and package takeaway meals
- Sell cold drinks and packaged snacks
- Keep the service area clean, organised and welcoming
- Provide friendly and productive customer service

Requirements

- Previous hospitality,



catering or food-stall experience preferred but not necessary ability to work with other people as a team
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Available during 20–22 November 2026, 8am to 6Pm including evenings
- We negoitable in time you can work 5 Hours or full shfit
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene or ready to take online course on food safety free
- Ability to take the train to Federation Square

Pay: Competitive hourly rates in accordance with applicable award requirements, including relevant weekend penalties.
