As a Support Worker with First Choice, you will empower our clients to live independently, safely, and comfortably in their own homes. Duties are wide-ranging and rewarding, depending on each client's individual plan, and may include:
- Domestic Assistance: Light housekeeping, tidying, making beds and maintaining a clean home environment.
- Meal Preparation: Assisting with cooking, nutrition planning, and meal setup.
- Personal Care: Supporting clients with daily grooming, hygiene, and personal routines where needed.
- Social Support & Community Access: Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping trips, or social outings.
- Respite & Palliative Care: Providing compassionate care and relief for primary caregivers.
About the Candidate
- Someone with a current drivers license and reliable car
- Must be available for work from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday and possibly more.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a true passion for helping others.
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant qualifications or experience in aged care, disability support, or community services (preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!).
- As we are new, additional clients will come on board and hours will increase.
