Medical Receptionist Private Practice - Permanent Part-Time

We are seeking a part-time medical receptionist to join our administration team. We are looking for someone who is a strong team player and has a passion to care for patients. Someone who understands the commitment of working in a multi-disciplinary team and who demonstrates a high level of professionalism and reliability.

The candidate will demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Employment: Permanent Part-Time

Hours: 2-3 days per week (Tuesday–Thursday), 15-22.5 hours per week, with flexibility to increase hours to cover staff leave when required.

Start Date: January 2027

Nursing staff are dedicated to provide patient centered care with focus on patient and families well being during treatment.

In addition to our oncology day unit treatments Tasman Oncology Research is an integral part of Tasman Health Care and dedicated to running clinical trials for oncology patients in a private setting.

Skills and experience

- Previous Medical Receptionist experience in a specialist medical practice is essential, ideally within a larger, busy practice.
- Experience using Genie or Gentu practice management software is essential.
- Billing experience will be highly desirable
- Manage a fast-paced and busy reception environment
- Exceptional patient skills both in person and on the phone
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- Exceptional team player
- Demonstrates high level of computer literacy
- A willingness and attitude to learn and grow with the company
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with a proven record to follow through with requests

- Proven knowledge of medical terminology, Medical oncology knowledge, skills or experience
