Main Street Medical Centre is a large, family oriented General Practice in Murwillumbah – Northern NSW.

We’re looking for a caring and capable Medical Receptionist to join our team. You will work in a friendly, vibrant and busy environment providing quality healthcare and exceptional customer service to our patients.

This is a part time position offering 2/3 days per week , with flexibility to cover annual/personal leave as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome patients and manage phone, email and in-person enquiries.
- Coordinate appointments, patient check-in/check-out and daily reception flow.
- Process billings, payments, receipts and patient account information accurately.
- Maintain patient records, correspondence, scanning and filing in line with privacy requirements.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, management and the wider team.

What we're looking for





- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively while ensuring accuracy.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team workplace.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right person
- Knowledge in using Best Practice management software, AutoMed , eftpos/Tyro is desirable but not essential.
