RN - Moruya Hospital - Hospital in the Home (HITH)

Moruya District Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Hospital in the Home (HITH) team on a nine-week contract from November 2026 through January 2027. This is an opportunity to deliver acute care in a community setting, working with patients in their own homes across the Moruya region. The role offers flexibility and variety, combining clinical expertise with the satisfaction of supporting patients outside a traditional ward workplace.

- Deliver acute nursing care in patients' homes, managing complex clinical needs in a community-based setting
- Nine-week contract position with on-call responsibilities and scope for in-charge experience
- Work with a team that values clinical autonomy, professional development, and collaborative care planning

Preferred Requirements





- Current Registered Nurse Practitioner endorsement and acute or emergency department scope of practice
- Demonstrated in-charge experience and ability to manage clinical decision-making independently
- Competence in cannulation, central line access, and renal nursing procedures
- Comfort with on-call availability and flexibility to respond to changing patient needs
- Scrub experience and familiarity with aseptic technique in varied home environments

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in acute care, emergency nursing, or community health
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
