Faculty Research Manager | Two-Month Temporary Assignment | Brisbane location, ideally

A respected national university is looking for an experienced research administration qualified to lead its Faculty research function for about two months while a fixed-term appointment is finalised. Starting as soon as possible, you will keep research activity moving through one of the busiest times of the academic year.

What you will do:

- Manage the Faculty research budget and funding programs, including grants, fellowships and scholarships
- Act as Executive Officer to the Faculty research and research training committees, preparing agendas, papers and minutes and tracking actions
- Support academics to identify funding opportunities and prepare quality grant applications
- Prepare research reports and maintain Faculty research data
- Advise academic staff and higher degree by research students on research policy, process and ethics approvals
- Liaise with the central Research Services team and senior academic leaders
- Supervise one Research Officer

What you will bring

- Experience in the education industry (essential), ideally in a university
- Research administration experience covering grants, research budgets, committee support or research reporting
- Strong working knowledge of research funding schemes, research training and ethical conduct of research




- Sharp data, reporting and organisational skills, and the confidence to get up to speed quickly with little hand-holding

The details:

- Higher Education Worker Level 8, with strong Level 7 candidates also considered
- Approx two months, starting immediately
- Full time preferred; three to five days per week considered
- Hybrid working, with up to two days per week from home
- Brisbane preferred; candidates in other states are welcome to apply
