Brisbane CBD | Initial 6-Month Contract | Potential to Extend
Alchemy Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Approvals Specialist to join a global mining company on an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend , supporting environmental approvals for a major resources project.
Based in Brisbane CBD , the role is 32 to 40 hours per week depending on workload. It suits an environmental approvals skilled who can step in quickly and provide hands-on support.
- Support environmental approvals and permitting activities for the project
- Review and prepare environmental approvals documentation and reports
- Interpret and apply relevant Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- Support regulatory compliance and the management of approval conditions
- Maintain approvals registers, commitments and associated documentation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, consultants and regulators
- Review technical environmental information and translate findings into approvals requirements
About You
- Previous experience in environmental approvals within mining,
resources or a similar regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and approvals frameworks
- Experience preparing, reviewing and managing environmental reports and regulatory documentation
- Experience working with regulators, consultants and technical specialists
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
- Groundwater experience or knowledge is highly regarded
