Are you a Dental Assistant who actually loves going to work?
We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in what they do, loves being part of a high-performing team, and wants to work somewhere they're actually valued.
Biltoft Dental is one of Murwillumbah's most trusted practices, part of the community since the 1960s. We're a tight-knit team of clinicians and support staff who genuinely enjoy coming to work, and we're growing our casual team to keep up with demand.
If that sounds like where you want to be, keep reading.
The Role
This is a casual position covering Monday to Friday as needed — ideal for someone who wants consistent work without the rigidity of a fixed schedule. You'll work across all three of our surgeries alongside Dr Daniel Johnston and our associate dentists, in a clinic that runs to a high standard every single day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Chairside assisting across general, restorative, surgical and orthodontic procedures
- Sterilisation and instrument management to infection control standards
- Preparing and turning over surgeries between patients
- Reception support when required
- Contributing to the smooth, seamless experience our patients expect
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting — preferred,
but we welcome motivated candidates working towards it or wanting to explore a new career path
- Someone who takes pride in their work and doesn't cut corners
- Reliable transport to our Murwillumbah clinic
- A team player who brings positive energy, not just skills
We hire on attitude as much as experience. If you're the kind of person who takes ownership, supports their teammates, and wants to grow then we want to hear from you.
Why Biltoft Dental?
- Above-award pay for qualified Dental Assistants — because good people deserve to be paid well.
- A clinic that's been trusted by this community for over 60 years — stable, established, and going nowhere.
- A team that genuinely enjoys working together — we invest in team bonding throughout the year and make sure our people feel appreciated. Lunches, coffees, paint and sips!
- Exposure to a broad clinical scope — orthodontics, implants, surgical extractions, cosmetic dentistry and general dental. There's always something current to learn here.
- Weekdays only, no late nights, no weekends — work that fits around your life.
- A practice where you matter — small enough that your contribution is noticed, experienced enough that you'll be supported.
