Trainer & Assessor–Cert III Individual Support-Remote Delivery Offshore-Malaysia

NV College is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor (Contractor) – Cert III Individual Support to deliver remote training and assessment services for Certificate III in Individual Support programmes. This is a contract position delivering educational content to offshore students based in Malaysia

This is based in Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 or Remote from anywhere in Australia.

The role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality vocational training delivery and accurate assessment of competency in individual support practices, which is essential for preparing skilled professionals in the aged care and disability support sectors.

You will play a critical role in bridging educational standards between Australia and Malaysia, ensuring learners meet the rigorous requirements of the Australian qualification framework.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and deliver engaging remote training content for Certificate III in Individual Support across multiple delivery platforms and formats suitable for offshore learners

Conduct comprehensive assessments of learner competency against the Australian Qualifications Framework standards and course requirements

Provide constructive feedback to learners to support their development and achievement of learning outcomes

Maintain accurate and detailed assessment records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements

Monitor learner progress and identify areas where additional support or intervention may be required

Adapt teaching methods and assessment approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs within a remote delivery environment

Communicate effectively with learners, coordinators and other stakeholders regarding learner progress and support needs

Stay current with changes to individual support practices,



aged care standards and disability support legislation relevant to the qualification

Collaborate with other trainers and assessors to ensure consistency and quality across the training programme

Utilise learning management systems and educational technology tools effectively to support remote delivery and assessment

What we're looking for

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or TAE40116 / TAE40110), or a diploma or higher qualification in adult education or VET

Demonstrated experience delivering Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent aged care/disability support qualifications

Strong knowledge of individual support practices, aged care standards and disability support legislation in Australia

Proven experience designing and delivering engaging remote or online training programmes

Proficiency with learning management systems and digital educational tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners

Experience conducting assessments and providing constructive feedback within a vocational education context

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple learner cohorts and assessment schedules

Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with international or offshore learner cohorts

Ability to work independently within a remote delivery model whilst maintaining collaboration with team members





Knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework and compliance with VET regulatory requirements is highly desirable

Previous experience training or assessing international students or offshore cohorts is advantageous
