General Duties

- Conduct daily and pre-trip inspections of transport refrigeration equipment.
- Service, maintain and repair Thermo King and Carrier trailer refrigeration units.
- Complete engine servicing
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
- Inspect, test and repair 12-volt electrical systems and associated components.
- Identify defects, determine repair requirements and elevate matters affecting equipment availability or safe operation.
- Maintain tools, equipment and the work area in a protected, clean and serviceable condition.
- Work safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Skills & Experience

- Trade qualification in light vehicle, heavy vehicle, diesel mechanical or a related mechanical field.
- Current driver licence.
- Experience servicing and repairing transport refrigeration units, including Thermo King and/or Carrier equipment,



is highly regarded.
- Diesel engine servicing and repair experience is advantageous.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
- Experience with 12-volt electrical systems is advantageous.
- Experience within transport, fleet maintenance or logistics is highly regarded.
- Ability to interpret instructions, follow maintenance procedures and complete accurate repair documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of safely completing the manual tasks associated with the role.
