Workfast is looking for a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join the workshop team of a leading engineering company in Chipping Norton.

Location: Chipping Norton, NSW
Pay Rate: $53.75 per hour + Overtime + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

This is a hands-on role involving the fabrication, welding, repair, and modification of structural and heavy components used in rail and industrial applications. The position offers consistent full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent role.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Fabricate, weld, and modify heavy components used in rail and heavy engineering applications
- Perform MIG, TIG, and MMAW welding to strict industry standards
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications accurately
- Conduct structural inspections, gouging, grinding, and defect repairs
- Assist with general workshop tasks and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Safely operate workshop machinery, overhead cranes, and hand/power tools

About You

- Trade-qualified Boilermaker / Heavy Fabricator (Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
- Strong heavy engineering aptitude and hands-on workshop experience
- Experience in structural steel fabrication, component repair,



and welding (rail, mining, heavy transport, or industrial)
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high-quality workmanship
- Forklift licence and overhead crane ticket (preferred but not essential)
