Design & Build Recruitment – Sydney Hills District NSW

We’re working with a well established residential builder seeking a qualified Carpenter to join their team, with a clear pathway into a Site Supervisor role . You’ll gain exposure across different areas of the construction business, learning how projects are coordinated while being mentored by experienced industry professionals.

This role will be office based, Monday – Friday , providing a strong foundation in construction coordination and administration before progressing onto site further down the line.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for helping coordinate the day-to-day requirements of multiple residential construction projects, working closely with Site Supervisors, trades and the internal construction team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Allocating and coordinating trades across residential projects
- Scheduling trades and managing upcoming construction requirements
- Communicating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring construction progress and upcoming stages
- Assisting Site Supervisors with the coordination of trades
- Updating internal systems and construction schedules




- Following up outstanding works and ensuring trades are booked at the right stage
- General construction administration and coordination
- Learning the processes involved in running residential projects from start to finish

About You

We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in progressing their career within residential construction.

You’ll ideally have:

- Cert III in Carpentry
- Cert IV in Carpentry commenced
- Previous experience working as a Carpenter within residential construction
- A good understanding of residential construction stages and trade sequencing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good computer and administration skills
- A willingness to learn the coordination and management side of construction
- A genuine interest in progressing into Site Supervision

You don't need to have previous office or coordination experience - the right trade background and attitude are more important . This is an excellent prospect for someone who is starting their career in construction after completing their apprenticeship.
