We currently have a strong, consistent flow of qualified leads.
We are now hiring a technically knowledgeable, experienced building sales consultant to join our growing team and work alongside our full-time Construction Estimator.
Role Introduction (Unique Role Setup)
This is a technical client consultation & sales role — not a basic retail sales job.
You will attend all new lead site visits together with our Construction Estimator:
- You handle client communication, consultation, design ideas, scope discovery, sales & closing
- Our Estimator handles technical measuring, detailing, quoting & construction scopes
This is a perfect role for someone who is sales-driven but also understands residential building & renovation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite consultations with new renovation & extension leads paired with our Estimator
- Discover client’s full vision, needs, budget, design preference and construction expectations
- Use your residential building knowledge to explain build options, limitations, finishes, and upgrade alternatives
- Prevent scope misunderstandings and capture all client requirements for accurate quoting
- Build strong rapport, overcome client objections, and convert qualified leads into signed jobs
- Professional follow-ups and maintain consistent communication with prospective clients
- Represent Crosskeys Built with high professional standards onsite
- Assist the team to reduce variation and scope gaps before project start
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Native English or near-native English communication level (MANDATORY)
- Proven residential building / renovation sales experience in Australia
- Solid understanding of house extensions, home renovations, kitchen and bathroom builds
- Ability to understand construction scopes, site constraints, finishes and build processes
- Strong face-to-face sales skill & proven job closing ability
- Professional appearance and client-focused attitude
- Full Australian Driver Licence & own reliable vehicle
- Based in Adelaide or immediate suburbs
Preferred Qualities & Background
- Local Adelaide resident
- Ex-builder, ex-carpenter, drafting background or trade background turned sales
- Experience working alongside estimators or building designers
- Experience with high-end residential renovation & extension projects
- Long-term sales track record in the SA building industry
Remuneration & Benefits (Clear & Competitive Package)
We offer one of the most stable and rewarding packages in Adelaide residential building:
1. Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000/year (based on experience)
2. Performance Commission: 0.5% – 2% per signed project
Top performers achieve $120,000 – $200,000+ total annual income
3. Weekly Car Allowance for site travel
