Opera Caravans is seeking a motivated and proactive Caravan Operations & Business Development Coordinator to join our team. This is a varied all-rounder role covering caravan production coordination, dealer and customer relationships, business development, marketing and warranty management. You will work closely with our manufacturing team, suppliers, dealers, contractors and customers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and support the continued growth of the business.

Role Description The Caravan Operation & Business Development Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. This role coordinates day-to-day caravan operations, including production scheduling support, inventory tracking, and liaising with workshop and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of caravans. The coordinator assists with business development activities such as market research, lead follow-up, preparation of sales proposals, and maintenance of customer and dealer relationships.

Daily tasks include managing customer inquiries, updating CRM and sales documentation, preparing quotes, and supporting marketing initiatives for brands such as Coach RV and Red Centre Caravans. The role also involves monitoring operational performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with management to implement productive processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate caravan builds from confirmed order through to completion and customer handover.
- Prepare and review caravan specifications and layouts and communicate requirements to the manufacturing team.
- Monitor production progress, timelines and delivery dates.
- Coordinate furniture and supplier orders and ensure specifications and measurements are correct.
- Conduct final quality control checks before caravan handover.
- Keep customers and dealers updated throughout the build process.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing dealerships.




- Identify and approach potential new dealers and follow up sales opportunities.
- Assist with generating new business and increasing caravan sales.
- Coordinate warranty jobs between customers, contractors and the in-house team.
- Follow up outstanding warranty work and help identify recurring issues.
- Assist with social media content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Create customer handover and testimonial videos.
- Maintain stock listings on the company website and online sales platforms.
- Assist with general sales, marketing and operational duties as required.

About You

We are looking for an organised and reliable all-rounder who can take ownership of tasks and confidently manage multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Confidence dealing with customers, dealers, suppliers and contractors.
- An interest in sales, business development and marketing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous caravan, RV, automotive, manufacturing, sales or business development experience would be highly regarded.
- A current driver's licence. • Forklift licence would be an advantage.

Software Skills

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Canva, CapCut and basic AutoCAD would be an advantage but is not essential.
