St Mary’s Primary School, Bowraville, is a caring and vibrant Catholic community where every student and family is valued, included and respected. We currently educate 50 children K-6 from across the Nambucca Valley.

For over a hundred years, our school has provided a wonderful learning environment where students feel safe, secure and cared for. The school works closely with our local Gumbaynggiirr community, creating connections with language, country and culture for our students.

CASUAL MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSPERSON

Classification & Benefits:

This role is classified as Level 2 (casual) under the NSW and ACT Systemic Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025 as updated or reviewed. Detailed information regarding the level, salary increments, and general employment conditions can be found within the Agreement.

Applicants Must

- hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check




- comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with all members of the school community both individually and as a member of a team
- Understanding of and capability to apply Workplace Health and Safety standards, especially in the use and application of cleaning equipment and materials
- Proven ability as an effective team member
- Physical fitness is an essential criterion as the role requires some lifting and physical labour.
- Ability to understand the work workplace by, learning quickly to use and maintain, cleaning equipment, materials and chemical supplies.
- Supports productive working relationships by carrying out cleaning duties with limited supervision and cooperatively participate as a team member.
- Awareness of the need for security in relation to rooms and buildings, personal property and equipment.
