About The Groomi

The Groomi started in 2023 in a garage on the Sunshine Coast, with two fluffy dogs, a house full of fur and a vacuum brush that didn’t exist yet. We built it. Today we ship thousands of orders a week from our warehouse in Landsborough, and 100,000+ dog owners use our grooming tools, wipes and washes. Almost every sale starts with an ad on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, so creative is the engine of the business.

About the Role

We’re after someone who makes ads, not just content. You’ll come up with the ideas, write the scripts, film them with real dogs (and the odd cat), and edit them into ads that run on paid socials. You’ll work side by side with our in‑house groomer and both founders who understand the importance of creative. You film each other, so you’ll be in front of the camera as much as behind it.

Key Responsibilities

- Come up with ad concepts, angles and hooks. Pull apart winning ads and work out why they work.
- Write scripts for 15–60 second ads
- Film with real dogs and cats
- Get on camera: presenting, demoing products, skits
- Edit into finished ads (captions, voice-over, sound)



with multiple hook variations for Meta and TikTok
- Check the results (hook rate, hold rate, click-through, cost per purchase) and use them to make the next round better

About You

- You’ve made video ads that ran with paid spend on Meta or TikTok, and have a portfolio of ads, not just organic content
- Robust editor. We use CapCut, but Premiere pro is also fine
- Natural on camera. Real beats polished.
- You write your own hooks and scripts, and can explain why an ad worked
- Comfortable around dogs of all sizes all day: wet, shedding, wriggly
- Local to the Sunshine Coast and able to work on site 3 days a week
