Achieve Something Great

Join a dedicated and compassionate team making a meaningful difference to patients and families across South Western Sydney. Based at Liverpool Hospital, this part-time role (four days per week, with flexibility considered) provides high-level administrative and secretarial support to the District Palliative Care Manager and a central team of 10 staff who support palliative care services across the District under a one-service, many-sites model. You will play a key role in coordinating palliative care medical home visits, liaising with clinicians, interpreters, patients and families, and ensuring the smooth operation of a busy District-wide service.

Working in palliative care is both rewarding and meaningful. As part of a friendly, supportive and collaborative team, you will contribute to a service that continually strives to improve patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families at the centre of everything we do. While there may be times when you support patients and families experiencing distress, you will be backed by a committed team culture built on kindness, respect, diversity and teamwork.

The role is primarily based at Liverpool Hospital, with occasional travel across the District to support meetings, events and service activities.

You will have outstanding communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with patients, families, clinicians and other stakeholders.
