About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven GTM Product Manager to lead product portfolio planning, go-to-market execution and lifecycle management for an assigned product category in Australia.

This is a market-facing product management role focused on product commercialisation and business performance, rather than software development. You will connect global product teams with local Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams, translating Australian consumer insights into compelling product propositions and actionable launch plans that deliver sustainable revenue growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Market Insights and Portfolio Planning

- Analyse Australian consumer needs, usage occasions, competitor offerings and channel feedback to identify product opportunities and gaps in the market.
- Develop the local product portfolio, assortment priorities and launch roadmap in alignment with global product strategy, defining clear positioning across product ranges and price tiers.
- Represent local market requirements to global product teams and influence product features, specifications, accessories and user experience.

Go-to-Market Strategy and Product Launches

- Own the end-to-end launch process, from commercial evaluation and launch readiness through to execution and post-launch review.
- Define target audiences, value propositions, channel strategies and launch plans in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
- Build launch business cases covering volume, revenue, margin and investment requirements, with clear assumptions, milestones and risks.
- Coordinate product availability, marketing assets, product information, channel listings and sales training to ensure launch readiness.

Pricing and Commercial Performance

- Develop local recommended retail pricing, wholesale pricing proposals and promotional plans based on competitive positioning,

consumer value and cost structures.
- Monitor product and channel profitability, evaluate promotional return on investment and recommend improvements to product mix and resource allocation.
- Identify gaps between actual performance and business plans, and drive corrective actions to improve growth and profitability.

Channel and Marketing Collaboration

- Partner with Sales to develop channel-specific assortments, launch schedules and sales enablement plans that support both sell-in and sell-through.
- Provide Marketing with clear product positioning, key selling points and competitive differentiation to ensure consistent, relevant communication.
- Support key account presentations, product demonstrations and channel training to strengthen product understanding and execution.

Demand Planning and Lifecycle Management

- Work with Demand Planning, Sales and Supply Chain to incorporate launches, promotions and channel developments into demand forecasts.
- Manage products throughout their lifecycle, including introduction, growth, maturity, replacement and phase-out.
- Monitor availability, slow-moving stock and ageing inventory, and coordinate actions to balance sales opportunities with inventory health.

Business Reviews and Cross-functional Leadership

- Lead regular product business reviews covering revenue, sell-through, gross margin, launch performance and inventory health.
- Turn data and market feedback into prioritised action plans, with clear ownership and follow-through.

- Serve as a key interface between the Australian business and global product teams, aligning priorities and driving timely decisions.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in product management, go-to-market, category management or a related commercial role within consumer electronics, smart hardware, home appliances or a comparable physical-product industry.
- Hands-on experience in the Australian market, with a strong understanding of local consumers and retail, e-commerce and distribution channels.
- A demonstrated track record of independently leading product launches, with clear contributions to positioning, pricing, channel strategy and commercial results.
- Robust commercial and analytical skills, including business case development, sales and margin analysis, and promotional evaluation.
- A sound understanding of demand forecasting, product availability and inventory management.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
- Excellent written and spoken English, including the ability to deliver business presentations and communicate effectively with customers and global teams.
- Ability to work locally in Australia, with appropriate Australian working rights.

Preferred Experience
- Product commercialisation experience with an international consumer brand in Australia.
- Experience managing products across both online and offline channels.
- Experience managing multiple product lines, price tiers or complete product lifecycles.
- Experience working with China-based headquarters, product development or supply chain teams; Mandarin language skills are a must.
