#### School Bus DriverLaidley, QLD 4341Part Time#### Job descriptionSchool Bus Driver Location: Lockyer Valley Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week Wage: $31.85 per hour Recruitment 247 is currently seeking reliable and safety-focused School Bus Drivers to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent work during school terms while enjoying school holidays and public holidays off. About the Role School Bus Drivers work on school days only, completing two shifts per day:Morning run commencing between 7:25am and 7:45amAfternoon run commencing at the conclusion of each school dayApproximately 20 hours per weekLimited school charter work may be availableNo work required during school holidays or public holidays Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily pre-start and safety inspections of the busEnsure the bus has sufficient fuel for all scheduled runsReport any faults or defects identified during inspectionsDrive safely and efficiently while adhering to all road rules and speed limitsMaintain the safety and wellbeing of all passengersEnforce and report breaches of the School Student Code of ConductMaintain scheduled route times and ensure services do not run earlyComplete passenger checks at the conclusion of each runSweep and clean the bus dailyClose all windows and hatches after useSecure and lock the bus when unattendedWash the bus weekly Skills & Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate:Ability to work independently and show initiativeStrong commitment to providing quality serviceProfessionalism, reliability, and confidentialityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstancesA genuine commitment to passenger safety Experience & Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have:Current Queensland MR Driver's Licence or higherCurrent Driver Authorisation (DA), or the ability to obtain one (medical assessment required)Previous experience driving busesExperience working with children is highly regardedStrong understanding of secure driving practices and compliance requirements Why Apply?Consistent work during school termsSchool holidays and public holidays offSupportive working environmentOpportunity for additional charter workMake a positive difference within your local community If you are a dependable and safety-conscious driver looking for a rewarding role, we'd love to hear from you.
