Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB) is an owner-operator marine logistics facility providing integrated wharf, marine, and landside services within the Port of Broome.

The business is growing, and we want a Management Accountant who sits close to the operation, someone who keeps the numbers right, then uses them to help operational and management teams plan, price and decide.

The role blends core management accounting with FP&A; and business partnering. It suits someone a few years into their career who wants to move beyond producing reports to influencing what happens next.

What you'll do

Partner with the business

- Work with operational leads to understand performance, cost drivers and what's changing.
- Develop cost and margin insight by service and customer to support commercial decisions.




- Help ensure operational activity is captured and billed completely.

Plan and forecast

- Support the budget and rolling forecasts, built on operational drivers.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital.
- Model scenarios and support business cases for new services and investment.

Keep the numbers right

- Month-end close, reconciliations and management accounts with clear commentary.
- Payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Financial controls, audit preparation and coordination with external advisers.

About you

- CA or CPA qualified, or well progressed through the program.
- Around two to five years in audit, business services, FP&A; or an industry finance team. Capability matters more than years.
- Strong technical accounting foundations, and the judgement to know when to escalate.
- Curious about what drives the numbers on the ground: when a number moves, you want to know what happened operationally.
- Confident with Excel, financial models and data from multiple systems.
- Enjoys working with colleagues outside finance, and can make financial information explicit and useful for them.
- Marine, logistics, transport or resources experience helps but isn't required.
