Assistant Grower | Medicinal Cannabis Cultivation

PharmaCrop is seeking an Assistant Grower to join our medicinal cannabis cultivation team at our facility.

Reporting to the Master Grower, this is a hands-on position supporting day-to-day greenhouse cultivation, crop health, environmental monitoring and coordination of cultivation activities.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or a closely related discipline, together with a genuine interest in commercial greenhouse and medicinal cannabis cultivation.

About the Role

PharmaCrop is seeking an Assistant Grower to join our medicinal cannabis cultivation team at our facility.

Reporting to the Master Grower, this is a hands-on position supporting day-to-day greenhouse cultivation, crop health, environmental monitoring and coordination of cultivation activities.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or a closely related discipline, together with a genuine interest in commercial greenhouse and medicinal cannabis cultivation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support daily cultivation activities from propagation through harvest.

- Assist with planting, transplanting, irrigation, fertigation, pruning, plant training, trellising and defoliation.

- Monitor crop development, plant health and nutritional requirements.

- Identify and elevate pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and environmental issues.

- Monitor greenhouse temperature, humidity, lighting, airflow and irrigation systems.

- Support integrated pest management, crop hygiene and biosecurity practices.

- Assist with crop planning, plant counts and yield estimates.





- Help coordinate daily greenhouse activities and cultivation tasks.

- Maintain accurate cultivation, environmental and inventory records.

- Work in accordance with PharmaCrop SOPs, quality requirements, workplace health and safety requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with the Master Grower and other operational teams to support crop quality and production objectives.

About You

Essential:

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or a closely related discipline.

- Sound understanding of plant biology, plant nutrition, irrigation and crop management.

- Strong interest in commercial greenhouse and medicinal cannabis cultivation.

- Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.

- Strong communication, organisation and practical problem-solving skills.

- Ability to undertake physically active greenhouse duties.

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.

Highly regarded:

- Experience in commercial horticulture, greenhouse production, protected cropping or medicinal cannabis cultivation.

- Knowledge of integrated pest management.

- Experience with irrigation, fertigation or environmental monitoring systems.

- Previous experience coordinating or supporting a cultivation or greenhouse team.

- Experience working with SOPs or within a regulated production environment.
