About the role

Baremed Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Whitsundays, QLD 4802. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of our local community. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of primary healthcare delivery, providing comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages and backgrounds. This role is essential to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the Whitsundays region.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and medical assessments

- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions

- Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions as appropriate

- Performing minor procedures and clinical examinations

- Referring patients to specialist services when necessary

- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient medical records

- Providing preventive healthcare advice and health promotion to patients

- Managing chronic disease conditions and conducting routine health screening

- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

- Adhering to all relevant healthcare legislation, regulations and professional standards

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Australian Medical Board as a General Practitioner

- AHPRA accreditation and current professional indemnity insurance

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia

- Completion of relevant general practice training or equivalent experience

- Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills across a broad range of medical conditions





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations

- Proficiency in using electronic health records and medical software systems

- A patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery

- Commitment to professional development and continuing medical education

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

- Experience in remote or regional healthcare settings is highly desirable
