Job Description

NPRS AUS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Buyer to join our growing business in Muswellbrook, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing and managing products across our retail newsagency and takeaway food business, ensuring competitive pricing, product availability, supplier relationships and effective stock management.

This is a full time position offering an annual salary of $80,000–$85,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and select suitable products for the newsagency and takeaway food business.
- Negotiate prices, supply agreements and purchasing terms with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels, sales trends and customer demand.
- Plan and manage purchasing budgets and inventory requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance, product quality and delivery schedules.
- Analyse product pricing, profitability and market trends.




- Maintain accurate purchasing records and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.

Skill & Experience

- Relevant qualification in business, retail management, purchasing or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in retail buying, procurement or purchasing.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory control, product pricing and purchasing budgets.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple suppliers.
- Experience in retail or food service purchasing will be highly regarded.
