We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team, overseeing workshop operations supporting our Forrestania project.

This is a permanent full-time FIFO position operating on an 8/6 roster, flying from Perth.

What you'll be doing

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including maintenance scheduling, resource allocation and workflow management.

- Lead, manage and support a team of skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanics and technicians, promoting a positive and productive working setting.

- Ensure all fleet maintenance, servicing and repairs are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.

- Monitor workshop performance, ensuring maintenance standards, quality control and operational targets are consistently achieved.

- Liaise with operational teams and key stakeholders, providing updates on maintenance schedules, vehicle availability and outstanding repairs.

- Work closely with the Parts Team to manage inventory levels and ensure required parts and equipment are available.

- Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, productivity and cost efficiencies.





- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures and relevant workplace health and safety regulations.

What we're looking for

- Demonstrated experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the transport, mining or heavy vehicle industry.

- Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance, mechanical systems and diagnostics.

- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and manage a team.

- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with operational teams and stakeholders.

- Competent with computerised workshop management systems and Microsoft Office.

- Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Heavy-Duty Fitter trade qualification (highly regarded).

- MC Licence and Forklift Licence highly regarded.
