About your new role:

- Lead, support and develop the Accounts Receivable team, overseeing daily operations and team performance.

- Oversee patient billing, invoicing, payments, Medicare claiming, reconciliations and debt management.

- Ensure patients receive accurate and timely financial information, supporting a positive patient experience.

- Manage financial reporting, month-end processes, audits and departmental performance indicators.

- Work closely with clinical, administrative and external accounting teams to resolve complex billing enquiries and support effective service delivery.

- Oversee medical practitioner registrations, private health insurance requirements and specialist billing processes.

- Identify and implement improvements to our patient’s experience, financial systems, workflows and processes

What you’ll bring

- A relevant qualification in finance, accounting or administration, or a medical background with equivalent experience.





- Experience in medical accounts receivable, patient billing or financial administration, with team leadership or supervisory experience.

- Sound understanding of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, debt management and financial reporting.

- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a patient-focused and empathetic approach.

- Experience with financial, billing and patient management systems, with knowledge of Medicare and healthcare billing requirements highly regarded.

- A cooperative, team-first mindset and a willingness to drive continuous improvement.
