We are looking for reliable and motivated Food Packers to join our team. These hands-on packing roles require attention to detail, accuracy and a commitment to food safety to ensure our premium quality sweet and savoury products are packed to the high standards Helen's is known for.
About the Role
Working within our food manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for packing, labelling and preparing products for dispatch while maintaining food safety, quality and presentation standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in producing high-quality work and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pack high-quality food products according to specifications and packing procedures
- Ensure products are correctly sealed, labelled and packaged for distribution
- Check product appearance and packaging quality before dispatch
- Maintain chilled and frozen products within required temperature ranges during packing and storage
- Conduct and record temperature checks as required
- Follow stock rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Complete packing records, quality checks and production documentation accurately
- Follow all food safety,
hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily packing targets
About You
- Reliable, punctual and motivated
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high standard of work
- Positive attitude and strong team focus
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 15-20kg
- Experience in food packing, food processing or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and GMP principles will be highly regarded
