The Role

We are seeking dynamic, solutions-focused individuals to join our high-performing team as a Base Support Officer. This role is central to keeping Defence sites safe, secure and effective. As a Base Support Officer, you will coordinate and integrate base services, support facilities maintenance and asset improvement activities, and contribute to infrastructure management, safety, security and emergency response functions. You will build strong relationships with military, civilian and contractor stakeholders to support daily operations and achieve organisational outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to a high-performance service delivery culture. Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will identify emerging issues, support continuous improvement initiatives and deliver practical solutions that meet Defence and customer requirements.

About our Team

Defence’s primary mission is to protect Australia and its national interests, promote security and stability in the world and support the Australian community as directed by the Government. The South East Zone is one of three zones within the Service Delivery Division that provide essential, on-the-ground services and support to Defence personnel around Australia. We enable Defence personnel to achieve their mission through delivery of services on Defence Bases and we play a role in helping the Government achieve its strategic objectives.
